Agnes and myself are off to asia via St. Petersburg, Moscow before catching the transmongolian and arriving in Beijing on August 27th 2006. That's as far as the exact planning is at right now. Afterwards it'll be travel in China for a few weeks, down to South Korea and then back to China and hopefully reach Tibet. From there cross into Nepal, then India and then Southeast Asia, after that ..... ?

China post 7# - last day in Moscow.

The first attack of Diahorrea and left me absolutely drained - reckon it was the ice-cubes in a drink on the last night in SP. The water is not safe in Moscow or there, so beware.

The only problem before now was the vicious mosquito attacks, but they only seem interested in Agnes for the moment. I'm sure my time will come as there are hundreds of millions of the little feckers out in Siberia and there is only so much of Agnes to go around!

Anyway, the othe big hurdle hee in Russia has been the cyrillic script which makes finding your way around difficult, even on the metro. Moscows metro is not as spectacular as I had thought and the fact that photography is forbidden didn't incline us to go around seeking out the prettier stops. Anyway, a few snaps without flash wee taken clandestinely and an example of Sting in cyrillic script ....
